i've been playing with this for a half hour or so.JackDark wrote: Everyone:
I'm really interested in what you guys think of Vectrave as it was the most complex to program and is the most unique IMHO... so I'm wonderin' if it sucks or not you know...
first impressions are that its bugger to tame, but when you hit a sweet moment
uses between 20% and 45% of my cpu on average and suprisingly hasn't caused a crash yet
could really, really benefit from cc control so you could map all the knobs and sliders to your controller.
this is definately one of those synths for me where you hit record and just see where it takes you and then edit down the audio to a semblance of order later.
cheers,
steve.

Well Vectrave uses a different method of synthesis... not subtractive like 99% of SE synths. It's CPU intensive granted, but on my P4 2.4Ghz it only gets up to 50% on highest spikes. Still, I'd like to get it down to 20% at most... but that'd require a polyphony of ONE with the current model.

Man, The Bends and Bit Boy look simply superb! And I got some beats in need to bleed with those great effects as well.
Gotta keep this thread up top, and I'll keep YOU posted of the lastest sonic butchery.
