Whew! I'm glad you did that. I was just trying to figure out how to describe the problem, but I'm kind of bagged, and it was defeating me. (I was typing out the whole darn parameter listdblue wrote:Ah.. just downloaded the demo/beta of AudioMulch and checking it out now. I see the problem with the parameter names, that's pretty confusing, haha.

I'll try and get both of these issues sorted out for the next update of the plugin.
Hey, that'll be nice, especially if you can do it without much CPU jump,.. visuals of knobs turning aren't that necessary, but number readouts can, on occasion, be handy.
Still, ...perhaps I need to use my ears more than I do.
Strange, no word as yet, on how well it works in EnergyXT.
Think I'll fire it up, see what happens.

A workaround in the meantime in Mulch: switch to the generic GUI, adjust the size so that you can read the parameters, then right click on any slider to get the automation context menu for that control.allofdrab wrote:AudioMulch , however, doesn't show Glitch's full parameter names, so it's a little confusing to automate.

Hey wow! That's a smart tip! I actually never noticed that the Generic Editor / GUI feature (in AudioMulch) offers so many extra options (in terms of ease of workflow/automation assignment).shamann wrote:A workaround in the meantime in Mulch: switch to the generic GUI, adjust the size so that you can read the parameters, then right click on any slider to get the automation context menu for that control.allofdrab wrote:AudioMulch , however, doesn't show Glitch's full parameter names, so it's a little confusing to automate.

There's a great plugin made by Tobybear called 'Kondor' which is good for diagnosing what a VST host is capable of. You can get it from here: http://www.tobybear.de/p_utilbag.html
Could you run Kondor in ACID for me and see if the 'ppqPos' value (shown in Kondor's GUI) changes as ACID plays? It should basically match the position of the track in ACID. It's this value which Glitch mainly relies on for its timing info. If ACID doesn't support this for some reason, then Glitch won't work. If ACID does seem to support it, then obviously it's something I'll have to do a bit more research into
Cheers.

Glitch is not designed to work "offline". It relies on PPQN timing information which only an actual sequencer host - something based around the structure of a song rather than just sample data - will send to the plugin. I'm pretty sure Soundforge doesn't send this information at all, but I assumed that ACID would because it's essentially a sequencer. I don't have it installed myself but maybe I'll grab the demo to do some testing.databass wrote:the same in Soundforge(last beta v1.1.9)
For a future update to Glitch I am considering adding a BPM setting which you could set manually, then having the plugin kind of fake the timing info so that it could be used as an offline effect as well. I'm not sure how well this would work but it could be a nice option to have as a last resort I guess.
