Feck. Every time I try and buy it, I get an internal error on their server.

Glad to see we're not feckless.whyterabbyt wrote:Feck. Every time I try and buy it, I get an internal error on their server.
I live in northern Massachusetts, and I've been hoping to see the Fedex truck before the weekend. Beginning to lose hope.
Oh, feck.

Yeah, I put in my upgrade order on Wednesday night, received the order confirmation email, but my bank account has not yet been charged. No way to check the status either, unless I call on the phone I suppose. Kinda weird that they use a Yahoo store to handle their order processing, but oh well.woc53 wrote:I live in northern Massachusetts, and I've been hoping to see the Fedex truck before the weekend. Would be cool to get it ASAP, but as long as it comes in sometime next week, I can live with that. Anyone know how fast Cakewalk is about processing orders? First time I've ever ordered directly from them (I'm in the US).

So anyone get it yet? Or will we all have to wait until next week?

FWIW I would think quite a few orders should arrive next week. Some people have already received emails about their orders shipping in "3 - 5 days".

Oh well; I worked out what was causing their checkout server to barf; didnt like me use a different shipping address. Soon as I changed it to my home address only it worked. Feh.

I must admit I'm quite tempted by this - it's only £229 for registered Project 5 users which is a bit of a bargain I think and the two together would be an awesome combination. The only problem is in the past I found demo's rather awkward to use - like for example if you want to add an instrument you have to faff around with 2 different tracks instead of just one as in Tracktion and I didn't see the point of that (on the other hand I'm geting fed up with Tracktion's audio engine spunking out on me and the poor support). Also how good is it at integrating external hardware synths and effects (as I have several)? and working with Creamware Scope?

Dont know about the Scope. What kind of integration do you mean, for outboard gear?aMUSEd wrote: Also how good is it at integrating external hardware synths and effects (as I have several)? and working with Creamware Scope?

Well in particular I like to use my Nord G2 as an effects box but I've also got some Alesis effects such as a reverb and multifx unit.

AFAIK there isnt the delay compensation that Cubase offers, although Voxengo's latency delay should compensate for that.
I'd just tend to play a track through a set of outs on my Emu 1820, and record the processed version onto a new track, then archive the original. Drop them into a track folder with any MIDI you want to use to drive the G2 and viola. (Or some other instrument...)
