You're fooling yourself if you think that one cannot take something you said or wrote, rip it out of context and make you look bad (at least in many peoples eyes).

And your spelling is pretty bad! :P

I am just waiting for him to make an album without cheating*. Deep pockets can afford music and drum loops that sound good, and al the hard work has already been done for you. I will just say he's a pretty good remixer/arranger, but he's no producer.

The stuff he said on TV- that was better than any SNL skit I have ever seen. It was Absolutely Brilliant trying to watch mike myers keep his composure as Kanye broke script like that. Then when the cut to Chris Tucker- he just had this WTF?!?!? look on his face

Is he the one that made Chaka Khan sound like Mickey Mouse? He should have his goolies removed. See how he likes it.

It was okay.. what was interesting was that he was using a real orchestra as the backing...

I'm with you there. His rapping skill (close to zero) and arrogance do at all for me. Mos Def on the other hand does a kind of similar thing but much more modest and skillful

Just and Opinion.

i heard some Kanye West song called Work It out... (or something like that)... It had a House beat (4-to-the-floor with some synths). It sounded hot!!!

I like Kanye because he is not a Gangsta.

Gansta music is so played out. Jim Jones is getting hot these days, however...

Yeah.. I really liked the backing... curtis mayfield and other soul numbers, done in a more dramatic filmscore kinda style, with big beats... personally I thought the rapping spoiled it a bit...

Brother cramps my style and steals all the white women.

Me and the sisters will survive though. ;)

I heard he was getting sued for the 'Diamonds Are Forever' song. The lady that sings that song said that he owes her alot of money...

The moral of this story is: Be original and don't steal....

Kanye is allright w/me. (I am very sure that is important to him, btw.) Like some others have said, I dig where he samples from, and he's not gangsta' : that in and of itself wins him a lot of points for me. His lyrics often have some depth and texture to them, as well - not just run o' the mill stuff always.

I read a story about him in Scratch where he basically bragged about stealing drum hits from Eminem's MPC disks.

What a guy.
