Well destroying my tracks is not fun in the long run.
I hope you're right, my money is spent (wisely: on Voxengo plugs ;))
I am not shure if you misunderstood what i was saying there, or it was intented to be Ironic.

No worries...plenty of hands on participation left to go round. :hihi:

I agree with the other poster on this---I'd rather have my fun writing music than fritzing with incompatible tonalities in mixed tracks. I don't know if I'll ever buy this thing, but if it was reported as working well, I'd consider it.

Am I the only guy that thinks that AAMS does the same thing, but easier and better? AAMS will analyze your file against any source, suggest better EQ settings, plus multiband compression and loudness maximizing, and export a 50-band EQ file directly to Firium - one of best linear phase EQs available. You don't have to sit there for an hour dragging lines around, and you have all the information to master with.

Just a thought, nothing against Har-Bal; I'm just surprised I don't hear more buzz about AAMS. I urge anyone who needs a sweetening solution to check it out (it's cheaper too!). :D

I think Harbal is an excellent tool and my mixes have improved immensely because of it. I can't wait to see what the next version brings.

I don't understand all the negative comments here. It seems like those commenting may not have even tried Harbal. I have seen nothing else that works like it and leads to such great results.

I certainly don't "sit there for an hour dragging lines around"! I can spot the main problems quickly and shape to a guide reference in under a minute in most cases.

I always use Harbal as the last step before limiting and dithering my productions. I've found that for each new song I mix I am requiring less tweaks with Harbal. Obviously, Harbal is helping me train my ears!

Cheers,

Randy

tonalities sounds like a word george w. would use.

Not even sure I used it right, but it sounded better than Nu-kya-lar. :D

My AAMS demo limits ran out after we were helping with the installation issues earlier this year - I wanted to see how v1.1 worked! Oh well...

CurveEQ does curve stealing...I think Mr. Aleksey was having a bit of fun himself!

The next version of Har-Bal looks interesting and in addition to being a somewhat bold move is a free update for registered users...that should generate excitement in the auto-mastering world.

When I mixed my brother's album, HarBal did nice things to his voice.

He's already a good singer, but HarBal made his voice sound better - richer, stronger, warmer - and he already has a rich strong warm voice.

Mostly it was gained through increasing level at the low end. But HarBal certainly did more than I could/would have done with an eq.
