Yes, that's what I use, FFX-4 for WinAmp free from vb-audio to load dx plugins, in combination with the VST-DX Wrapper Lite free from spinaudio to load VST plugins, it doesn't work with all plugins but it's still useful.

If this new plugin adapter works with more plugins it could prove useful.

The plugin has been debugged yesterday. It now runs stable. There only need to be some more assembler optimisations in the future.

The Winamp VSTHost has just crashed badly when I inserted energyXTE. Strangely, after restarting Winamp - it already had eXT open and now it works

So I'm not touching it anymore, loading all plugs in eXT instead and it works as charm. Thanks a lot Christian! This thing is great!

No, shit, it still crashes - whenever I want to open the plugins configuration while audio is being played. I can only open the config when the playback is stopped.

Also, VST window resizing isn't handled (not that it's such a big problem).

It doesn't however recall my eXT state on Winamp restart. Is it just an eXT incompatibility or is parameter saving not implemented yet?

Damn! I'm getting an error message now: "preset file not for this plugin!" when I load any plugin. I can hear the plugin load, but I get the error message and no GUI...
