I'm on PC too. :)
Oh, I assumed you were using a Mac when you said you were using Pro Tools. From what I understand, Pro Tools has a somewhat stripped down version that works on PC's? Sorry about my ignorance on this topic.

Anyway, I guess now I do not know how well Kontatk integrates with your Pro Toosl set ups versus Mach 5. The fact that you are using a PC leans me more heavily toward Kontatk 2, but this is not based on any experience and on very little information.

Wow, you're a bit out of the loop mate. Pro Tools has been fully utilised on PCs for years and many pro users and a huge number of semi-pro/amateur users are all on PC with the full software. It really is just a matter of OS preference nowadays. :)

jmh; great post, thanks chap. :)
It's a really useful thing that those Kompakt, Intakt etc. based libraries can be used in Kontakt.
So those libraries that come with the Kompakt/Intakt/whatever front end can just be loaded up into the Kontakt proper, with no loss of functions or features? This is quite an important point to me.

vurt;
i use reason in protools as a sampler,works with the mac so i imagine the pc version would run fine too.
I'm familiar with and fond of Reason, but I haven't got too deeply into the sampler yet. How does the NN-XT stand up next to these other samplers? How comprehensive is it's import options? Would it be worth me just using it as a general sampler?

Thanks again people. That Dmitri thing was funny. :D
