I won't get to see DCD or Bauhaus since their not even coming close to playing texas. I haven't caught a show in almost five years since no one that I want to see will come here. Luckily, I'm moving next year to someplace civilized.
It's been said that DCD refused to have shows booked in the Red States. If so, that sucks and makes me think less of them. The rest of us shouldn't have to pay for how the majority votes.

Saw a hurdy-gurdy player live in Seattle during a street fair once. I can't think of the name of his group offhand but it was a husband-and-wife thing, very nifty.
I see I missed DCD in Chicago just two days ago, but there's no way I'd have been able to get there with work the way it is :/

it might be fear, and not a political statement 
i'd feel a little scared in red states too, and i grew up partly in Idaho
(Moscow, ID, which is actually a pretty cool little university city, but still...)
