Have any of you tried the CountryMan Type 85 DI?

All I know is that Santana uses a CountryMan DI for the acoustics. Never tried it myself.

You think for fun with his kids he's "Santana Claus"?

I forgot about that guitar too. What was it? Carvin? I need to sample the Santana guitar for the next version Studiophonik at some point (done sampling of course for the release version). Good one.

LOL, he is one shy dude, but one heck of a guitar player, with lots of soul.

One thing I might do is make some presets named after some of you guys.

I did that in Sonik Synth 2 and some of you are immortal now.

Imagine Eddie Van Halen playing a "Bearded Crunch" patch or an "A3nGuitar" preset!

But, anyway, if you participate in this thread perhaps you'll earn yourself a name in a patch. I can't promise anything but you never know. Could be fun to participate this way though, don't you think?

Yes he has been playing them for years, I think since the beginning (of PRS I mean)
By the way PRS started making a lot of low budget guitars, some of the bare the Santana name but I don't think Carlos ever played those models.

I remember playing an earlier model that a buddy has. Sweet sounding and ridiculously easy to play.

Yes but in the 70's and 80's? For some reason I seem to remember it being Carvin.

I believe he played a Yamaha for a while in the 70's as well. Don't know about Carvin.
