Yes there is 256 different levels of release samples also, alternating.
We have a big manual to study to make use of all the different kind of articulated silent samples. If you spend 100 hours hard practicing and programming you may be able to create 1 second of truly realistic silence, but it's worth it!
Yes I forgot, there will be a buggy special articulation utility to handle different articulation in a some kind of totally unintuitive matrix environment.
We have included it to make sure all customers have a lot of problems and we may be able to release commercial updates for it and make more money.

The release tails are really tremendous, the best I heard so far !
In which famous hall did you in fact record those silences ? (come on, tell us, no secret !)
I own your CP70 which is really great, but if it was the only way for me to get your new lib, I would wholeheartedly give the CP70 away and trade it for that lib !
What's the release date, and will it be available in Schulmzsampler format too ?

Thank you for your kind comments Gilles.sirbellog wrote:The release tails are really tremendous, the best I heard so far !

I am afraid that I cannot divulge the whereabouts of the different recording environments as this would be to give away proprietary information ... trade secrets if you like ... which, of course, would be commercial suicide.
I would not recommend that. My suggestion would be to replace all tracks with "Golden Silence™" except, of course, those recorded using the CP70 - this will enhance your CP70 recordings enormously!sirbellog wrote:I own your CP70 which is really great, but if it was the only way for me to get your new lib, I would wholeheartedly give the CP70 away and trade it for that lib !
There are no plans to support that particular format at this time although negotiations are underway with my good friend Luigi at NuSofting to licence the collection for use with his products.sirbellog wrote:What's the release date, and will it be available in Schulmzsampler format too ?
I can also reveal in a new development today that for Akai S612 users, a 'lite' version of the entire library will be available on 42,000 2.8" 'Quick Disks'. Postage and packing costs, of course, will be proportionally higher.
Thank you for your interest in Hollow Sun products.

Any chance of a mac version ???
Your silences sound wikked anyway ... I used them in a tarnce remix, which seemed immeasurably improved the more silences I added - but I must say my silences didn't sound phat enough until i sent them through Bram's Anechoic Room Simulator.
Finally, can these be used to silence 303 emulations? Or is that another library?

Is this not a rip-off of the sonicfinger spoof, "Dead Quietenator" ?

Hollow Sun was not aware of this product until now. Our legal team will investigate this potential copyright transgression.skylarra wrote:Is this not a rip-off of the sonicfinger spoof, "Dead Quietenator"
However, it must be pointed out that the 'Quietenator' is a real-time plug-in that only deals with the silences in between notes. A creditable achievement in itself but Hollow Sun's "Golden Silence™" samples are designed to replace entire tracks and so are altogether different.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Well with this library, Bram's plug and the Quietnator all appearing in the last year or so, it seems that the real market gap is a silent HOST. Are you guys ready to jump in there?
Granted, some users may just choose to leave their computers turned off, but high-end facilities tend to leave machines running. As a top level priducer (I once said hello to peter gabriel in a supermarket, not that that in itself means much) I'd gladly pay up to $10G to have a silent-ready host at my disposal - top-level clients really don't want to wait for comp. startups (or in this case, shut downs).

Besides, why not just buy real silence off Ebay for cheap? People can't get rid of it fast enough these days.
Not trying to be negative though. I'm sure it will be a great product, and I might even pick it up one day.

Wow! Another stunning HollowSun compilation. I don't want to sound crude and ignorant, but when it comes time to master my tracks using your library, what brickwall limiter/maximizer will be up to the task?
perception: the stuff reality is made of.
