I think it may say something, that even acquired via warez, people are driven to seek an alternative to cubase.

not trying to make anyone look bad John
I didn't mention the warez police, someone else did,
confused at that statment I was, (not giving the mad face)
but now that you've insinuated something, please carry on...

I've also seen at least two instances on this board where someone sold their Tracktion license for $35-$40. I personally switched form being a legit Cubase user to a legit Tracktion user, that's how damn good Tracktion is!
If you posted a Wanted-To-Buy ad, someone may come through with energyXT or Tracktion for dirt cheap. While it defies the imagination, there are people who bought these that would rather use something else. That can be caused by suddenly having more money, a brain hemorrhage, etc.

If you still like Cubase you can get cubase SE fairly cheap, and then upgrade to more featured versions when you are ready.

no one envy's the dongle, which is why I'm considering SOnar5 as an upgrade from VST/32

Don't be a dick.. it's plainly obvious what you meant with your little confused face. You were expressing distain, which is completely fine, as a person who owns every single piece of their software and doesn't download anything illegally, you're perfectly entitled to express your thoughts on this matter.vtx wrote:not trying to make anyone look bad John

Can you point me to a link that lists all the software included in the $100 Emu 0404 card? The list you give is pretty impressive if they are all workable but limited editions (not demos). I could always throw the 0404 in my internet machine. Don't need any more Hosts but....vtx wrote:for a $100 cad its almost worth buyin the 0404 and getting cubase le ,sonar, ableton, proteus, amplitube le, registerable serials, and the cubase works like a charm, no dongle

Damn, not a bad set of software and you get a 0404 card which from what I've read may or may not be a good thing. Thanksvtx wrote:everyones always lookin for a pissin contest around here, anyway heres the link
