CubaseIdiot no problem
Well guys, the way i see it is that we were all beginners once and not many people can afford Cubase while they are at highschool or university. i personally own Cubase but can understand that a lot of folks can't afford it.
btw, it did only take me about 2 minutes to respond, no big deal
Oh well, be happy folks ... Thanks for the kind words too

@ Hink...
As much as I appreciate the point you are making here, I think you're being just a little over dramatic with your response...
I didn't make any scathing or maligning comments or insults (or even judgments) toward the original poster. I was just having a bit of fun with the nonsensical link. I am not sure that warranted you getting all eight-one-eight about it...
I suppose if I wanted to be really malicious, I could have posted this link: www.cubase.net and then told him to ask the same questions in that forum.
I can just imagine the responses he'd have gotten there. Makes me shudder...

perhaps you're right, but I would more agree with you more if your response wasn't the very first response to someone who had signed up this week. In fact it seems your response was a joke and mis-leading...perhaps based on the belief he was joking...again maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. But I'm believing he is sincere and is student. So like anyone I appreciate a good joke, but I believe in this case you were wrong. I don't why you wouldn't just apologize to the poor kid for a poorly timed joke. I'm sorry you dont see that, I don't think I'm over dramatic at all, just calling it as I see it. I think as Wopelka said...it use to be more friendly here.
It's really sad that you would take your time to defend yourself against my criticism of your response, but yet not take the time to apologize to the poster. I'm sure if the shoes were reversed and you were trying something new and asked a question. If the first response was a bogus link and a joke basically calling your question stupid you might feel a little slighted. I know I have made many mistakes, said the wrong thing to peop;e ect...but I doubt anyone here will disagree with me when I say I am the first to apologize when I'm wrong and admit when I'm wrong. I guess I believe more in karma then you...

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
