My music pc is down at the moment but I can't wait to try Gsnap with an out of tune electric bass track I have in one of my songs.

It's completely and totally usable for me. And useful. And efficient. In Tracktion 2. Of course, your definition of "seamlessly" could vary. It's an auto-correction plug-in. I wouldn't expect it to work miracles.

I set Tracktion 2 to only load GSnap (I dissabled all other plugins) and the PC is still freezing.
I load it in Cubase SX 2 and it runs fine.

Wish I could help you alejandrozalaquett, you might want to let the gsnap author know. He would likely be able to help more than us. Good luck.

Hi there. Sorry I haven't replied 'til now.
I'll be updating the GVST website soon, which will include an updated version of GSnap. Once that's done, and if the problem still exists, I will take a closer look. (Incidentally, I can't replicate the problem on my system using the Tracktion 2 demo).

I think there's something in my configuration because I used it in other PC without problems.
Thanks

I can't remember the exact name but you might want to rename the tracktion config file (as a temp. means of getting rid of it) and see if that helps.

Lunch Money, I am really shocked because I have tried files that work with Auto-Tune just fine (just pick key and scale and it gets it right) but with GSNAP its not even remotely close. Do you have to spend a lot of time massaging values or what?

the demos in the GSNAP thread here on kvr seemed pretty good to me... somebody's getting it right. I can't wait to try this vst myself.

Last night I solved my problem with GSnap freezing on Tracktion 2. The solution is to unckeck the "Use Realtime piority mode" in the audio settings.
The popup help to this option says:
"Realtime mode will make Tracktion the highest priority task running on the computer, which will probably help to reduce the minimum latency possible. The most serious problem with realtime mode is that some VST plugins can freeze the operating system when you click on their interfaces. (This is caused by the way the plugins' interface code is written, and there's nothing Tracktion can do to fix the problem!)
It can also cause less dangerous side effects such as making the computer unresponsive when the CPU load is high.
Best way to find out if it works well on your PC is to try it."
THANKS TO ALL.

Interesting. I still can't replicate it on my system, but I have a hunch about what might cause it. Hopefully the update will be more compatible with realtime mode, but I can't say for sure. We'll just have to wait and see...
