I dont know of anyone who's been ripped off or had their music stolen.
If anything , there have been a couple of Compilation cds put out that are directing the proceeds towards charities , like Katrina relief , and Tsunami relief.
I've been to a few sites ( I wont go into specifics here ) where the communities sucked ass , and the ruling classes looked down their noses at everyone ( the " if u dont use cubase or logic , you're not a proper musician " ruling establishment of a lot of music forums )
There are some truly great people at SOUNDCLICK
and I wouldn't hesitate in directing someone to go there.
Its not about money ----- its about the music.

@ Hybernation -------- IDM ( intelligent dance music )-------- electronica that doesnt slot neatly into one of the stereotypical pigeonholes.
I'm no yougster dude ---- I'm 35 . I just grew up with all this ------ from herbie hancock , kraftwerk , afrika bambataa , thru all its mutations as diverse as any other genre , up to the present day.
I've breakdanced, bodypopped, and danced like a loon to arrive at IDM and find my musical destination.
@Reverse Engineer ----
Yo homie -- peep mah shit heheheh ( kewl name BTW )

IMO this personal attack is very rude and totally uncalled for. Although I don't know neither of you, this is a perfect example of how discussions at an electronic forum can escalate or turn into flame wars.2NDMOUSE wrote:@ JOHN VULICH ----I am excited --------- and I suspect that maybe a few noobs are too .
If you're not excited about your own music , give up and stop wasting time slagging off my post.
Obviously , you are now the ruling elite who is too big and powerful to bother with such a deminuitive post aimed at NOOBS who would relish the chance to upload their music anywhere for free , so wind your neck in OK ----- This ones for the NOOBS who dont know where to go --- who dont know one end of a mouse from the other , but have an overwhelming desire to make music and get it heard !!!!!!!!!!!![]()

Just remember u were once a noob too ( have u forgotten ? )
Other than that, soundclick is not really new. Did you check out garageband.com as well? They have a formula where you get feedback on your music as well. And, just in case you get bored of soudnclick, if you ever really want to (commercially) publish and maybe even sell your music, take a look here. Very musician-friendly AND cheap AND reliable.
EDIT:
That's pathetic. Why are you here?2NDMOUSE wrote:Yo Vulich ----------- come back and lock horns -- was enjoyin that an then you ran away like a girl !! heheh

@M'snah --------- He started it an he obviously couldnt take the heat so he got out of my kitchen
and anyway , whats it got to do with you ? you fight his battles for him ? ah right , you watched " bodyguard " last night !!!
Garageband is C.R.A.P -- can I say that again , it felt good !!! C.....R.....A.....P !!!!
George Martin personally sits n listens to your songs does he ? I put a song on there and I had to review 15 other peoples songs before I was allowed to put another one up ----- and the reviews I got were written by Primates.
How does " Its nice and I like the way its so nice , because it makes me feel nice inside " constitute being a good review. Garageband seriously sucks !!!!

Just got finished listening to most of your stuff. You are very good at what you do! A little repetitious for my taste, but excellent playing and quality synth sounds. Very interesting little jazz guitar riffs mixed into that 2nd number (All Cylinders).2NDMOUSE wrote:@ Hybernation -------- IDM ( intelligent dance music )-------- electronica that doesnt slot neatly into one of the stereotypical pigeonholes.
No slight intended! (I'm 45 so to me you are still a youngster2NDMOUSE wrote:I'm no yougster dude ---- I'm 35 . I just grew up with all this ------ from herbie hancock , kraftwerk , afrika bambataa , thru all its mutations as diverse as any other genre , up to the present day.
I grew up on all the old-fart music: ELP, Genesis, Yes, Gentle Giant, etc. Never cared much for most of the dance-related genres....even Jarre gets on my nerves (love his synth sounds, but those analogue drums just aren't my cup of tea).
DIVERSITY ROCKS!

the best thing about sectionz is the community - it's been a community driven website from the beginning where people of all ages from all countries and styles of music have been making friends, learning about music from each other, and reviewing each others tracks that are posted on the site.2NDMOUSE wrote:@Smart ------- I'm just about to check Sectionz now ----- whats the community like ? Our main goal is to give people a place they can call home and we've been doing a pretty good job I think.
Not everyone is very knowledgeable, but it's balanced out by people who ARE very knowledgeable. the atmosphere is very friendly - we dont get too many people around who think they're too good for everyone else and stuff like that.
It's mostly electronic music, but we're trying to change that by getting more musicians to join.
pop by and try it out, and please let me know if you have any comments or complaints if you get a change by sending us an email!
