Can you do this with audio recording yet?
Audio recording is always recorded to seperate lanes in an audio clip. (as far as I know)
it is, as long as you have been recoding at least in one loop...the last complete file will be switched to SOLO in the Audio-Part...try it...
unfortunately this is still a bit buggy, because it seems that you cannot Merge Multi-Recorded Sequences...

Until render-freeze clips comes out. Which it sounds like Jorgen was interested in.

+1 I'd like to see an option for midi loop recording were the takes were handled like audio, creating seperate lanes for each take.

Post

yeah, that's it... similar to the audio-Multi-Recording

Ah but there should be an option (as with audio) to not solo the last take. Suppose you want to lay down a pattern drum for drum. Firt loop BD 2nd loop snare etc. If it were like audio is now you wouldn't hear the loops before the current.

Post

that's an issue .... i agree

imo it would be cool to have the choide whether your recorded Midi-Sequences "Merge" or "Overwrite existing Midi data" or eventually "Pile Midi sequences" (perhaps with the option of automatic Muting of previously recorded sequence) similar to Audio-Tracks !

So you would be able to record in Loops without getting a mess of data and without needing to press "DEL" to restart Recording every time...

what do you think ??

by "Merge" did you mean glue?

im shure i have glued "Multi-Recorded Sequences" (looped audio takes) i just rember that it unsoloed all takes inside the clip (witch was verry verry confusing at first) it also temperoley unsoloed all takes every time i split/slice/cut a Multi-Recorded Sequence, but only intill i stoped playback & statrted playback again
