but so far from my little test it looks like a lot of fun.

:D That's exactly what I thought of when I first saw a screenshot of FXJ. Let us know how it turns out. I have yet to try my TG33 joystick on it...

Post

Thanks everybody.

LiquidClear - Yes each effect for FXJ has been tweaked to get the most use out of it using the vector interface. That was the hardest part of FXJ actually... because the SE vector joystick typically ranges from 1-10 volts output... but some of the FX need 1-32, or -5 to 5, etc. so I had to make a custom "adapter" for each FX unit...not just for the vector of the unit, but to accept the global vector as well within each volt range... it was a coding nightmare (for me at least), but in the end it actually works so I'm still quite proud of that.

Vurt - Yes releasing new plugs during this time of year is apparently a bad idea. Everybody's busy doing this or that I guess? Personally I thought that FX-Jockey would garner more attention, but it actually has only sold -1- copy in the near week it's been for sale. :D I guess I should be making comb filters or distortion modelers. Oh well, still, even if it's never a hit, FXJ is a ton of fun for -myself- and I'll definitely use it in the future. Though I have to say, Glitch Jockey ...is better... for sheer pyschosis. Maybe the "kids"'ll dig it too.

Post

Ahh... now I know what's up:

 Well, at least my version's $60 cheaper. With a much simpler (better thunk-out) interface. :P

...plus you've got granular and bit crushing effects :)

Post

That is true... that is true!

Well, back to this thread's original topic:

I've got a beta version complete of Glitch Jockey, here's a cocktease thumbnailish shot:

And, here's a new demo MP3 of Glitch Jockey in action:

Just ONE preset and Glitch Jockey ONLY, using bypass on and off, not even using the vector.

I'm excited to see what people are gonna do with this. :)

:o
is that a massive x/y pad i see :hyper:

i know i haven't given proper feedback either jd. and i do apologize for that. i'm just very f**ked up in the head at the moment. so give me a while. this sounds really really awesome btw.

Yes Vurt, tis tis!

Tuz, it's okay bro, do your head first.

Cyberpink, um, I call bullshit upon that. A delay doesn't have bitcrushing, pitchshifting, stereophonic modulation... bullshit. :P

Does glitch jockey have a sequencer/gate?

No, only because I'm trying to keep this as unlike dBlue's Glitch as much as possible. Different kind of glitch here, less competition. ;)

Added full screen shot:

Also posted a little song I made with it in Music Cafe.

Good chance this thing'll be released late thursday...
