XP will actually last many years if you take good care of it (which you obviously have ... *sniff* so proud of you ma boy!)

:hihi:

Do you by any chance ever use the HTML notebook plugin? Several of the errors that you have cited seem to most frequently pop up as IE errors. It looks like the HTML plugin may be using IE as a browser engine.

ooh ooh good thinking...

No i never use that thing. I was always mroe of a pen and paper kinda guy

Hmmm... well if you do a Google search on those errors, they seem to almost always be related to IE. I assume that you don't use IE as a browser. If so, you might want to test out IE for a few minutes to see if you get any similar errors. If I recall correctly doesn't FL Studio have an option to use HTML as a background wallpaper? This may mean that it is running the IE engine in the background.

This is great. Now we can all blame Steinberg for the problems experienced with every other sequencer as well...

The fun never stops! :?

Steinberg could make the best sequencer in the world and sell it at $50, I still wouldn't buy it for two reasons: the above and the dongle :hihi:

But really, I'm happy with FL6 right now ... and hope to help chase out so that hes happy too (more DnB! more DnB! Yaay!)

Like I said, I figured he wasn't using IE. Regardless of what browser he normally uses, it seems that FL Studio uses IE's browser engine for both the HTML Notebook plugin and it's HTML backdrop. If his install of IE is corrupted and he uses Firefox then he probably hasn't touched IE in quite sometime so it makes sense that, if it is indeed corrupted, he wouldn't know.

I can accept that Cubase (and Steinberg's philosophy on copy-protection) isn't your cup 'o tea, but claims like the above seem wholeheartedly absurd...

My dishwasher leaks... Damn that Steinberg coding...
I've run out of room in my closet... Damn Cubase to hell...
I can't fit into my old jeans... Must be Steinberg's fault...

You're absolutely right Chase...

You'd best uninstall anything with the Steinberg logo on it...

It's coded by terrorists I heard.

You're taking his advice to the extreme.

Cubase is infact a bit demanding of the sudio engine when installed. It MIGHT conflict with FL Studio and be the problem. I havent had problems in the past, but IL has re-done the audio engine in FL Studio.
