rom the Dubb Box .pdf file:
"MODE SELECTOR - Sets the relationship between the virtual tape heads. Mode 0 offers a single echo, while modes 1-10 offer rhythmic subdivisions of the main repeat rate."

Ooh, for really ancient fx, there's the old opcode vinyl vst. No longer available though.
How about prodyon's E-Fex modulator?

Arcdev Dubbox rools - as do the rest of arcdevs plugins, frickin excellent.
Running your sounds through dubbox & tweaking the settings to taste will definately give it some of that old school lofi sound.

Seems so weird how anything that's strictly digital can ever become "no longer available."Notron User wrote:Ooh, for really ancient fx, there's the old opcode vinyl vst. No longer available though.
Oh well.

He has a statement on his site about maintaining a certain bandwidth and getting rid of plugins at any time without warning. I don't think it's because he doesn't want them out there any more, just that he doesn't want to have to pay for the bandwidth that they need to distribute.
edit: oops thought you were talking about arcDev

Right click on the GUI, then de-select "Bypass warping". That'll enable it.Sickle wrote:How asinine is that..?soma wrote:It used to do tape warble in teh DX version but they removed it
A well-behaved signature.

It's totally disabled in the VST version. Right clicking on the GUi only offers teh help file.Note: Due to incompatibilities with some host apps, the warping feature is initially disabled. If you're using a compatible DirectX host app then you can enable it by right-clicking anywhere on the plugin and selecting “Bypass Warping”. If the Vinyl plugin produces a choppy sound when Warping is enabled, your host application may not support Warping. In this case, you should keep warping bypassed.
For Pro Tools, the Audio Suite (AS) plug-in always has Warping enabled, and the Real Time Audio Suite (RTAS) and HTDM versions always have Warping disabled because it is not supported by the format. The VST, AU and MAS versions always have Warping disabled because it is not supported by these plugin formats.
Even taking the faceplate off didn't help

Crazy Ivan can be very good at mangled tape sounds, though can be tricky to use because it doesn't save its settings, you have to save a fxb and reload every time uyou open up the project. If they fixed this it would be one of my all time favourite plugins
