Well, there's Awave, and that can convert to WusikSND, but it's much more expensive. I tried the demo of ESC and I really like it better.james0tucson wrote:STILL down? That's many months! I wonder if this dude got in trouble with any one company - I just emailed him to see if we can ever buy it again. I don't like the looks of awave - and I remember when it was a freeware program. I really didn't care for the GUI then and I don't care for it now.
Is there any other program that can natively save to WusikSND?

You could always insert a small blank wave as the extra wave. (make a small wav of silence)
Might work for now at least untill William changes the coding on Wusik Engine. (This is a old time bug in wusik engine i believe that only gets noticed when you develop sounds for it)
I don't think this error is in our mapping program. (Repeat - I don't think as of this point)
Also ...hang in there ...we are releasing the new version of our editor that opens existing WusikSND files soon.
ESC is a great proggy ...not sure when he will sell it again...always strange the way he takes it off the market for a while. I have it and Love it!

By the way, I just got the looping working in ManyTone Mapper, so when you import a WusikSND or DashSND file it puts the looping information inside the WAV sample files.

awesome. Anyone check out EZ Editor from FL Studio6? It's $24 and is made for sample and loop point editing - has crossfades and everything! Check it out. www.flstudio.com and look (very hard) for EZ Editor. They also have beat slicer for about $10 more and it seems to be used for groove and slice creation - not sure if it is dedicated to making samples though. EZ Editor is a dedicated sample creation tool. It really is easy to use. Damn demo has a million limitations though.

It looks pretty basic, but it covers the main features in making samples. Not bad for $24, too.Karmacomposer wrote:awesome. Anyone check out EZ Editor from FL Studio6? One thing to check for is what different bitrates and bitdepths it can handle.

I have Soundforge Studio V6 (pre-Sony) but it won't authorize over the web on my new laptop (dang C/R copy protection!). I decided it was time to learn Audacity. I have a large collection of audio cassettes (lectures) collected over the years and use SF or Audacity to convert them to mp3 files.manytone wrote:What about the free Audacity? I can't recall if it sets loop points though ... But it is a nice free editor.
We use Soundforge here and are very happy with it.
I also have EZ-Editor, and for working with small-ish samples I prefer it.
