Maybe I'm an idiot, but i can't see how to map the samples. There is 4 samples for C# note, 2 for C, 2 for D#, 2 for E, 2 for F#, 2 for G# and 2 for A.

there are in fact 2 samples for each note ( there may be some '.nov.' files in the folder, these are kontakt files and can be discarded), the samples are layered in kontakt with a 'round robin' behaviour, so the sample layers alternate each time a key is played. its a kind of 'anti-machine gun' technique.

the samples are from the original instrument, so not every note is represented.you have to stretch the zones to cover the octave.

i'll send you a kontakt 1 file that you can import, i think i still have one...

Thats actually a good idea. I had considered doing a similar with a guitar library I had planned (but never got round to doing

). The Round Robin feature in Kontakt is a phenomenal addition imo.

Now all it needs is a trance gate and I'll be forced to get rid of my warezed version and buy the proper thing

Really thanks for the file. I have imported successfully the file and I have discovered that VSampler supports "Round Robin" alternation!!!

This is a very useful feature!!

I've corrected the envelope and added reverb and now it sounds very similar to the kontakt version(SC Mbira Regular).

BLISTER PAK from Big Fish Audio - 4000 one-shot drum samples that are all electronic and very strange. Though there may be a cowbell or two in there.
