The final selection is not made yet,
please stay tuned ugo.
bass was my first love and is still the only instrument i can play worth a damn, so i will definitely stay tuned. i currently record with an eden DC210XLT "Metro" combo and a line 6 bass pod xt (either individually or in parallel), and i am always interested in trying more things to make my recordings easier/better/different.
btw. any new synth from you ?
now that metallurgy is out of the way (the effect i released in december), im going to be getting back to work on a drum synth called bang. its pretty far into development already, but its also pretty far from being done. i've got a lot more work to do on it, to get it sounding and working like i want it to. i've got a few other synth ideas for after that, but nothing solidified yet. im also going to be updating probably all of my current freeware synths before long.

Midiworks, you convinced me to save my boxtops for a bass guitar again. Haven't owned one in like 15 years but I've had the itch again lately, and you convinced me.

What are you waiting for, BASSAMP sounds awesome as is. Put it out today and make yourself some $$$$. It's PRO-gear quality - just do it. Really it's good! It's that good! Put it out and you'll have bass players selling their amps and buying laptops to fit your software, the world over. Seriously. :D :D :D

it probably wouldnt end up being that long. there's far fewer bassists in the world, so there would probably be fewer pages of bickering over who's tone is better. :hihi:
Only takes two to get a good 60 pages or so, though.

James Jamerson {Motown}, Larry Graham{Sly & the Family Stone}, Stanley Clarke{Solo}, Bernard Edwards{Chic}, Kenneth Burke{Stairsteps}.

These are some of the best bass players of all time.
they really didnt care what kind of amp they used long as it was one you can plug into a socket, And let me tell you this, "No one can touch this group of Bass players ever either". unless someones hiding somebody under a rock. Its just not gonna happen.

My point is yes I am a bass player and no I dont need a special amp to make my chops sound any better than they are, im highly agianst putting any effect on bass esp if you plan on using it in a live or studio mix with other instruments lol.

Keep it dry as possible and put effects on everything else, Bass dosent need special amps effects or anything but someone who has skills to play one period. sorry if I went off topic. Oh btw it does sound good but I personally dont need it.

sounds quite nice. I was just telling my friend about your guitar ampsims and now I see this, looks like I may be buying two plugins from you in the near future instead of one. BTW, did you decide to distribute the guitar amp sim as one uber product? I really liked the idea of a range of individually purchasable amps.

frippertronix...as i try my best to refrain from posting a reply to stairsteps, and thus starting a major tone/style discussion, your point has just been proven. :hihi:

I'm not hearing anything here that can't be done with free stuff. Here's a very quick example using only free plugs.

First part dry, second part free plugs, third part MW's plug.

It could be helpful to phisically eliminate another piece of gear :hihi:

I forgot those...

Ther bass gets lightly distorted by a special Drive tube.

Yeah, I just got a bass recently. I'm very very interested in this plugin. Does it work via convolution?

Thanks :)

uber product?
Even our XmasTube is a uber product compared to other amp sims. ;)

Please stay tuned, I have some ideas.

Sorry Chibs, like in the guitar amp topic,
I dont talk about the way things are done.
I hope you understand why.8)

No, I do not understand why. Other people explain how they do things. Kinda selfish to not go into it, I would like that knowledge. :P

Anyways, I suspect it is done via convolution. You can get a similar sound by using RubyTube and RevolVerb - it's just a little annoying having to click an error button every time your song loads ;)
