Is he finished playing his first track yet? :hihi:

Ha! Ha! Hmm.

I just noticed that "Glassback" could also spell "Black Ass, G!"

Not whackin' your noggin' hehe.
Oh. OK. :hihi:
I read it as you getting irate cos I'd said the nav thing was a minor gripe (for me). And all I meant was that I wasn't gonna turn my back (and I wasn't suggesting you would either) on the station just cos the nav leaves a bit to be desired.
Ah shit, too early on a hazy sunday morning blah blah.

:P
I was sitting with Big Karma as I typed ginormous and both of us thought it looked wrong, so I checked before I posted and found it was right. Pity you didn't check before you corrected. :hihi:
Holy crap that was cited as 1948!?
I thought it was a very new neologism! I wasn't being serious at all, I really thought
it was very new slang! Ha ha! BK once again owns. Thanks for the heads-up.

Cool, could you make "sockdolager" popular again? I really like that one.

I haven't the foggiest idea what "album" that review is in reference to, but I'm reassured that it wasn't just me that couldn't sort it out... I'd ask TechButt over on The Ausitorium's EMC forum, though, I imagine he has to check that fairly frequently. He's probably hunt it down for you faster if you voted for hinm on that DJ thing at the start of this post, too. :P

Solo was the name of the folder which denotes album title where possible. I have a private FTP folder for reviewers to access music .

Still might be no harm in putting them in a zip file and naming it such. Of course The Karma should probably be fixed first. or something. You might consider it Glassback. Or If you want I would love to do it.

I posted this on the auditorium but I thought I'd ask here, too:

It's 6:54 now here and it's showing the 6:00 PM playlist by default.
Yet it couldn't possibly know that I'm in CST and I'm pretty sure that since it gives PST & GMT on the schedule page that you must be basing it on Greenwich, right? I just want to be sure I'm not pointlessly calibrating to GMT if it somehow understands that I'm in CMT.
A man with a similar mentality posted this after me there.
So I feel better not being the only befuddled but EMC-admiring fan:

Got a question.

I've been enjoying the radio station...lots of fun, but having trouble trying to match up the playlist.

At the bottom, where it says click here for play list, it shows the correct artist and song for the song playing, but when I search through the playlist, no way I can find it. For example, a bagheera song is playing now but no where can I find it in the listing. I'm not listening to the juke box. Am I listening to the right radio station right? Cause when I use Windows Media Player it alwasy says its Techbot's Hangout hour...never any of the other shows.

I'm not to bright with internet stuff, so maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks for straightening me out!

EDIT*** I just found the current playlist. Its 4:20 p.m. here in California on 3/5 and the correct play list (I think) is at 12 a.m. on 3/6...8 hours ahead. Is there some way to adjust that?

Also, It looks like your playing one of my songs within the hour (Black Jackets)...COOL! If not too much trouble, could you use Fred S instead of Schmierer for the artist name?

EDIT AGAIN: I appologize profusely for not being too bright  I just checked the station info, and if I'm reading it correctly and the time adjustment is correct, 3/6 at 12:00 am would be ntns repeat broadcast, and I think my song is coming up there, so it wouldn't be from the recent link I gave you and you wouldn't have used Schmierer as the artist name...someone else would have.

Am I getting warm here at all? :?

Thanks, Fred S.
I just remembered the set with all the Public Enemy in it a while back. That rocked.

If the now playing button is not linking to the correct playlist then I reckon it can only be one thing.

The now playing file is a redirect, so it gets refreshed every hour. If the page loads and redirects without refreshing it will show an old page.

Empty your cache and retry. Does it show a different page now. If so, this is the case and I will have to rethink the redirect option.

THe system does not configure based on timezone please see

for possible options.

Ok now I'm trying VLC media player (what I usually listen with)
it's telling me "Gerauschscaft - Miniatur Beaugt Ein"
as is your sig link. So those 2 things work.

Nice post on the auditorium - you are a boon to your profession.

Plus, I thought I'd bump this thread since there's some seriously strange sounds going on which are distracting me from making music.

Putting something together for you. :)

Where's Glassback's album?

I've always hated the radio but I love hearing what artists are up to that simply making
the music they want to without the BS that goes into marketed music. I never thought
it'd be as good as it is!

Post

What I'm missing at the fantastic EMCRadio is a search function for an artist or a track title in ALL playlists at once.

I'd guess that poor, harried TechBot doesn't have anywhere near the time or resources
to much change how it all works at the moment.

It's an amazing thing that he's made it as good as it is!
What little I understand about it is that it really must be a cripplingly time-consuming labor of love.

I'm amazed by the sudden attention. My site's sure had a few hits.
Thanks. Really.

An album as such doesn't exist yet, but what I'm sorting out (in my own sweet bippy time  ) is a downloadable bunch of early tracks - mostly based on that list Techbot posted. I'll pm Techy later and sort out the hows and a few other things; the later tracks are a different production technique and are earmaked for another project so I'm not including them in that bundle but they'll still be available to grab individually. Getting my shit together here. Thanks for the kick up the jacksie to do something I've been thinking about for ages.

Is there a way of finding out how much you've been played?
