zverb from elastique sounds nice , is there a vst that uses this engine?

I'd put in another vote for Glaceverb as probably the best freebie algorithmic reverb, or SIR for convolution. However, here are a couple of others (which may or may not have been mentioned already):

For a very short reverb, I don't think you can do better than Buzzroom Roomverb without some displacement of money, available here.

Another vote for Roomverb, definitely worth a listen! I use it and Voxengo Pristine Space light almost exclusively now.

find all the free reverb vst's you can download
then check em out and maybe keep a few on your hard drive if you like em

The choice of reverb depends on your recording style.

These ones standout for me - ambience, piano reverb, glaceverb, SIR...........but there is plenty of them about.

Having shelled out for Cubase + hardware etc, why not spend a bit on something like ArtsAcoustic and get yourself the really nice sounding reverb you long for. Presumably it needs to be better than the Cubase plugs.

Don't you folks forget Silverspikes RoomMachine 844!
No kidding, a friend of mine just used it as the main reverb (even more than one instance) on each song of a commercially produced album. He's got the Waves stuff and things as well, so there... the sound of that album is fantastic, btw.

I like springverb just because it is light and it gets the job done, but for a master a don't usually use it.

BTW I do actually know how to use said facility but it doesn't answer my question. A free, natural sounding reverb for vocal production?

Thanks to all the rest of you though. I have already tried the Kjaeurhaus (sp?!) one, their free compressor is great, I was recommended that from elsewhere and it is superb, but the reverb is not that great.

I was wandering around my Dads workshop the other day humming to myself and suddenly realised that the true natural reverb of the huge stone workshop sounded so much nicer nd more natural than the plugins I have... hence my question!!

I shall get downloading and try some more!!!

Very easy to get a good reverb sound with this. Works well on vocals too.
