argh

but that's ok.

i have a feeling this one is definitely worth the wait.

Sorry about the delay (pun intended) but we thought that since Discord is one of our most popular products, this iteration should be perfect. In order to do all of the stuff we want to do, we needed to address some issues with the GUI. Better to hold it back for a while.

Or, as my wife is always saying, "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right."

You gotta agree with your wife ( I know, I'm married ;) )

Come on pull your finger out "-)

Seriously though Im really looking forward to Discord2 as I have yet to find a vst plug in that can do the old stereo vocal thickening effect ala H3000.

It's definitely the right thing to do...waiting longer and getting something perfect is much better than getting something flawed right away.

No shit. A couple years ago, you could have got a loaded 3000 for $550 to $650. For $1600, I'd pop another couple hundred and get an Eclipse.

The main thing that will make D2 worth waiting for is the cross feedback. The chorus from this thing is completely out of hand. It has gone beyond the H910/H949 paradigm and is now its own plugin. I'm really excited about this, and can't wait to get it out. Our main point right now is to keep the UI uncluttered and not make it too complicated.

Post

Chris I must say, because of your upcoming plugin and that powercore Harmony thingy,
I'm holding back on getting a H3000.

As for the Eclipse:
To my surprise, while working at 96k,
the pitchshifting on Eclipse wasn't $1600 better than Discord 1.5
It did sound a tiny bit different, maybe a little smoother?
AND to make things worse, turns out tons of algorithms on Eclipse don't function above 48k.

Hopefully with Discord2 at 96k, and a few other tools, I can achieve what I want.

All righty. We've put the new UI in to freeze, so I can leak it here. Won't be long now. This one is obviously much less cluttered than the original, and the flow is more obvious, I believe. I decided to go with a more modern UI mainly because after I saw that new Admiral Quality synth here on KvR, I'd decided that hardware-looking UIs may have jumped the shark.

Anyways, enjoy. Comments appreciated, as always, but the UI is in code freeze, so unless something is drastically wrong, that's what's going on the final product. Ronin and Deverb will be getting this same facelift, theoretically.

Meaning what? Gone over the edge? :?

Nice gui you got there. Looks like it was Zebra influenced without being a Zebra wannabe look.

Any idea on price yet?

EDIT: Ah, $49 USD I see. 8)

Cheers

It's going to be $49.00, $10.00 upgrade for previous owners, as usual.
