wow, seeing how shitty a job Image-Line does with making their software work as it should makes me wish I HAD pirated the software..
I guess the old saying "Try BEFORE Buy" should be the rule to go by, even though most of the greedy motherfuckers who run the production of commercial software would rather not allow us to do that.. "Try Before Buy" as a form of economic self defense, to avoid getting ripped off by paying money for software that doesn't work.
isn't fl's demo a full demo? everything works but you can't save? if that's the case, you could've tried before you bought. which leads to the next question, why did you buy it without trying?
the rest of what i write is solely based on the assumption that fl has a full working demo. if not, i apologize. this assumption also raises questions like are you just a plain idiot or a misinformed idiot. again, if my assumption is wrong then i sincerely apologize.
if you're such an idealist, you should've downloaded the warez version and donated to the poor. put your money where your mouth is or shut the f**k up. nobody forces you to buy shit. you click the button and you pay. be it image line or red cross. if you're so unhappy with the software, write to image line explaining the situation and beg for your money back. there's a 0.1% chance that you'll get your money back, but you could try.
