Hey guys,
First, thanks for all the enthusiasm about the 5.2 update!
I just wanted to clarify something about the VST MIDI output add: this feature will add MIDI output support to VST instruments like Groove Agent, Jamstix and EnergyXT. It doesn't cover VST MIDI-only effects.
I hope you still find it a good update?
Cheers,

Thanks for clarifying that Alex. A little bit of a shame, as MFX plugins are few and far between compared the host of MIDI effects waiting to go into the MIDI FX inserts.
That said, it's still a good update.

Y'can still wrap yer MIDI-processing VST effects in the VSTi of eXT, though, cant yer?Alex Westner wrote:I just wanted to clarify something about the VST MIDI output add: this feature will add MIDI output support to VST instruments like Groove Agent, Jamstix and EnergyXT. What's the stability like? I am currently running 4.04, but 4.02 seemed to be the most stable. 4.04 will occasionally "disappear". It maybe a VST issue though. I would go back to 4.02 but I do like the gapless engine.
S5P users, is 5 more or less stable than 4?
Alex what do you think of the stability of 5.2?

More, IMO. The only single issue I had with it was the VST automation bug. The only thing I wanted improved was MIDI from VSTs. And viola, look wot happens...wwwill wrote: S5P users, is 5 more or less stable than 4?

Damn, got my hopes up about MIDI VST effects as well. Still, gotta love Cakewalk upgrades.
Hey Meffy, could you point out where I might find this? Much thanks.Meffy wrote:Aw shux. S'okay, I can keep using whyterabbyt's workaround for Chordspace. Still good, yeah. =^_^=

Any news on fixing the problems in version 4 with more than one envelope not working on vst plugs?Alex Westner wrote:Hey guys,

Actually, Chordspace is a VSTi - I just tried it with SONAR 5.2 and it seems to work just fine over here.Meffy wrote:Aw shux. S'okay, I can keep using whyterabbyt's workaround for Chordspace. Still good, yeah. =^_^=
