So does the FXLord really replace all of the free single boxes he has listed on his site? all the battery acid/bitboy/glitch girl-neo... etc
I mean if i wanna JUST use the bitboy effects, is it easy to do so with this? I dont see it on the GUI anywhere...
Maybe this doesnt replace EVERYTHING... hmmm

No, it doesn't really replace the plugs (except maybe FX Jockey), it's just his most complete, and versatile to date. ie, it'll FSU. IMO, Glitch Girl-NEO, Shattershot, Glitchtronik, Roboticize, and Glitchjockey still easily stand on their own....as well as the instruments.splattered wrote:So does the FXLord really replace all of the free single boxes he has listed on his site? all the battery acid/bitboy/glitch girl-neo... etc

I can't speak for the other two, but Glitchtronik definitely was once there but isn't anymore. Fun little box, but a little too difficult to tame for more "normal" music like mine...splattered wrote:Glitchtronik, Roboticize, and Glitchjockey

Man I need to start paying more attention to the forums.
I appreciate all the praise about FX Lord. In my rather biased opinion FX Lord is the ne plus ultra FX box, ever, in the history of the megaverse. But I made it, so of course I feel that way. FX Lord doesn't specialize in any one particular thing like some of the older DarkWare things did, but it does something better, it allows a synergy of tons of effects into one singular metamorphic effect. I've made a cymbol sound like thunder with it, you know? I'd say give it a shot, the worst you have to lose is five minutes.
As for what happened to the other 20 DarkWare VST that are no longer on the DarkWare page along with the 10 that are still there... well, it's a long story, a stupid one too. Ultimately I sold the "rights" off to most of them in an eBay auction, but obtained permission to allow for the top 10 to remain free downloads because I got sick of 30 emails a day begging to rerelease them.
And yes right now I'm working on a new NOVUZEIT plug called The Hands Of Darkness. It is the same vein as only two other VST I can think off, Gargoyle and Sophia (both awesome plugs BTW)... except it will be more straightforward to use, with more powerful panning and delay/reverb options... and of course sound better. :p At least I hope anyway. Hands Of Darkness is basically for creating dark creepy atmospheric sounds... it's not a synth for any other purpose, and will have limited appeal thereof, but I need it for my next album. I hope to have it ready by mid-May.
I think someone asked what my MySpace page was, it's in my sig.
Thanks for the limelight and support.

Roboticize was a dual-parallel micro delay unit... it allowed stereophonic extremely metallic-sounding burst delays, hence the "robot" part. It had a sexy GUI using one of the Sorayama Gynoid backdrops (heavily modified though). You can probably still find it on eMule, I've seen it along with other long lost DarkWare VST there before.

Huh, odd stuff, I prolly don't even want to know...JackDark wrote:As for what happened to the other 20 DarkWare VST that are no longer on the DarkWare page along with the 10 that are still there... well, it's a long story, a stupid one too. Any thoughts as to whether the tech rights will ever see the light of day again? It's a shame, if not, but that's biz.
And there's always NOVUZEIT stuff...

Those 20 lost DarkWare plugs will never see the light of day again via my hand. But NOVUZEIT is not the end of my VST endeavors. Only the chapter concerning the "relatively sane & lamen-useful" ones. So if insanity beyond even DarkWare is what one craves, patience endures.
