I'd never be able to go back to 5 now that I'm used to all the handy stuff in 6 like the new mixer and being able to drag a sliced sample from the slicer into just about anything from an audio clip to even a waveshape for 3xOsc (although I don't really use 3xOsc much these days).

I also find the new Envelope Controller is a great addition to the other internal controller - this combined with the Peak Controller, Keyboard Controller and Formula Controller let me turn just about any sample into it's own little mini-synthesizer after I add a few simple effect into the effects bus and link them to the controllers.

And I only mentioned a few things that make up the whole release - there' tons of other little things that are handy like being able to assign icons to mixer tracks now to help you get organized and other improvements like this that don't seem big, but are awesome when you get the hang of it.

Don't forget the big stuff now like the Delay Bank, EQUO, Multiband Compressor, and the option to get Direct Wave... I could go on forever but I'm extremely happy with the v6 release! :)

fls 6 is awesome. I do almost everything in it, except audio. I recently got pt m-powered and now I export out of fls and arrange, edit, etc in pt. plus the fxpansion has wrapped all my fls vst equo,reverb2,etc awesome combo fls/pt m-powered
when they ask who sent you tell them "I AM" sent you.

Yes... it's quite nice, that and VST automation in the PR now. Still, I only use FLS for automating/recording Sytrus these days.

if you cant see the benefits of the new version, perhaps you should try it a bit longer ;)

I disagree my friend, but unless you work like me you might miss it...the multi-channel piano-roll is absolutely fantastic...my bass samples (yellow tools pure e-basses) uses different channels for different style samples (pop, ghost notes, slides, hammer-ons...ect)I use to have to rely on the ghost notes in the piano-roll and use one midi-out (thus also needing it's own PR) for each style...now I can just use vsampler without the midi-out and write all the parts in one piano-roll...where before I might use 4-10 piano-rolls just for the bass...I wish there were more contrast between the colors for the different channels, but I can work much easier now, surely you can see the benefit of that for me anyhow...:)

I totally was not aware of this!!! thanks !

slicing is done with the, uuh, slice tool?

and rearranging mixer tracks is done with alt+left and alt+right

I always hate putting a good thread back on target, but I've been cruising this FL board.

I didn't update for a while to FL6 since I heard that there were some issues with Sonar.

Yesterday, I decided that I'd try 6.0.8. IT'S REALLY BROKEN IN SONAR. (Note that I use it as a DX plugin within Sonar only).

I recorded 8 bars in Sonar, and tried to get FL6 to play a pattern in-sync. It play 1 or 2 notes, and then stayed silent for the next 7 bars. Occasionally, it would randomly play 1 or 2 notes.

I then tried the VST version within Sonar, and it was just as broken wrt/playing.

I love using FL for drums, so I've gone back to FL5...

I'm just not going to upgrade until it works within Sonar as well as in FL5.
