What's the CPU load on yours, Meffy?

Is it OK to put it on all individual tracks instead of only one on the master bus? :hihi:
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

Despite CPU use so shockingly low that I'm embarrassed to post the figures, I recommend applying Transparency Preserver to just those tracks that really need the subtle Air of Professionalism™ that no other plug-in can provide. Overdoing a good thing can lead to the dreaded Jaded Ear Syndrome, which makes all music made without Transparency Preserver sound drab, lifeless, and boring.

Post

So the big question is... does it dither..? ;)

Dithering alters the input. Alteration equals distortion equals loss of transparency. Ergo, no dithering. You want dithering, use Transparency Eliminator (also no longer available).

you know you can get Virus-like silence out of z3ta if you use the bypass button

Post

It's true. I always take the bypass, less traffic and nicer scenery.

I've gotten 312 loaded and only hit 53% CPU on a 1.8 with 2Gs. Now thats what nI'm talkin about!

You pro guys are really embarassing me. I mean, I'm such a newbie at all this silence stuff. I'm still trying to figure out the difference between white silence and pink silence! I asked about all this at West LA Music and all they did was laugh at me.

Tom :hihi:

Post

What do you use for?

Post

Tom, of course they laughed at you. There's no such thing as white or pink silence. Silence is golden.

Post

Dang it, Meffy--I KNEW there was a joke in there, but it just wouldn't come out--time for the 2nd cup o' coffee. Good luck with the garden.

Post

=^_^= Thank you. I'll need luck, as I'm about as cack-pawed as you'll ever find.

Post

I hope everyone's use the K-System to meter their silence, to avoid overcompressing and having flat clipped over-limited silence with no dynamics.

As opposed to pure, unlimited, silence with a full dynamic range...
