Thanks StudiodadStudiodad wrote:Nice song and nice guitar work on top. I like going to the bridge pickup half way through. A little bit like Terry Kath on 25 or 6 to 4.AndrewSimon wrote:Hey TeleJuan
The guitars sound great.
I wish I had more time to actually finish songs.
But I have something.
This is a song by "Clueless" I found in the music cafe.
I like this song so I added some guitar on top of it:

I don't usually listen to songs all the way through but I did for this one. It's kind of nice to hear a "little" studio noise every once in a while.
Are you a guitar player?
(I saw you had a lot of interest in BFD as well)

Amplitube2 song from the KVR MAY competition.
It's another clean sound..... sorry, we need a metal theme soon.

Ey Andrew! I love that tune! Great playing and great tone.
Here's a tune I just finished, this time with some good guitar playing. Go to this link and listen to "Nothingville"

Is it all Amplitube? all the guitar parts?
By the way I read your Bio, very interesting.

Great work on Nothingville Juan! Sounds just as good as any of the guys we are playing at the station I work at. Much luck on making it in Nashville!TeleJuan wrote:Ey Andrew! I love that tune! Great playing and great tone.

Very, very nice! I really liked the music as well as the lyrics.
One question just out of curiosity. What made you choose the imperfect rhyme of "field" and "Nothingville" versus the more obvious choice of "hill" and "Nothingville?" Was it because it was expected?

Thanks guys! I'm glad you both liked the song as well as the production. By the way, I forgot to mention all the reverbs on the song are CSR…
Dan, you ask a very interesting question. For some reason "hill" never seemed the obvious choice for Scott (the guy I co-write it with) and I, it actually never crossed our minds. I'm a big fan of imperfect rhymes, that are close enough to sound pleasant to your ears but are less predictable. I've written my share of you/blue, love/above, goodbye/cry, etc. rhymes but I try not to be that lazy anymore.
But that is really not the main reason why we chose the word "field". Truth is I live in Indianapolis and Scott lives in Nashville but is from Milroy, IN, a small town surrounded by corn and bean fields (pretty much the whole state of Indiana is!). We wanted the song to ring true so we took Milroy, IN as the place where this song takes place… Wilson Lake and Memorial Drive are real places there and local folks make a big deal out of planes flying over every year's 4th of July parade. Besides that, if you've ever been in Indiana, you already know there is not one single hill here…haha! All that together made "field" the obvious choice for us.

Telejuan,
Thanks for that interesting and informative post. It was a treat to hear a little story about the making of that song. I think your mission was accomplished -it certainly rings "true" to my ears.
Great job.
