so I bought the Firium/Equim bundle for $169

and now this Roger dude wants $349 EACH - AND you need an ILok

good luck douchebag

Post

somebody should post the origin of these great new Roger Nichols plugins in his forum. Including the former Elemental Audio prices

I'd like to see the explanation for the huge price jump.

I just hope they don't force you to swallow the iLok thing comes next update.
Let's wait for the e-mail from EA but I'm not too hopeful on that one. :?

Maybe the extra money goes to pay for our sins.

According to http://www.ioforums.net/forums/view_top ... orum_id=22

"The BITCIN-IZER, LEVEL-IZER and WENDEL-IZER are in the works and will be released next."

WTF are those for names. I own InspectorXL and bought Neodynium just 4 weeks ago. I definitely do not want an iLok with the next update.

Though I swallowed the Syncrosoft thing for the KLC Digital Edition and AT2, but I do really not want more of that stuff. And the new pricing - ridiculous.

yup i got the set , and i'm just glad they do pretty much what i want now, cos i won't be upgrading in the future, no i-lok here thank you very much. EA say they'll provide support to existing customers, though i doubt that'll go as far as fixing any future incompatibilties :-(

You get to pay twice as much to protect the seller from the buyer! Someone needs to let him know that while racketeering can be profitable, he didn't quite get it right.

1. Buy someone else's technology
2. Double the price
3. Make it less attractive
4. Profit?

Got a way to go before it offers what InspectorXL offered; no K metering...I guess it could replace the free Inspector.
No, that wasn't me.

The names do kinda suck, and the price change is a bit of a shock, but I'm excited about the change, and I have great respect for Roger Nichols. I take this as validation from a major player in the industry that these are great plugs. Hopefully he'll have some nice early adopter specials.

it has got k-metering.

couple it with a stereo correlation meter, and i think you'll have all the 'basic' info inspector gave you, just without the many different ways XL could display it.

You were looking for such validation? Why?

How much do you want to bet that the new company will fold up or be merged into another companie within 2 years?

About time for the De-Escal-Izer!
aka rktic. demoscener (Farbrausch, Holon, MFX, Still), sound designer, ux-dude, sth @AudioRealism, human synthesizer—not necessarily in that order.
