i would love to see this!
would make alot of sims usable.
i've only found one preset(fat boutique) in one program(amplitube1)
that i'm totally comfortable with.
its just to hard to tweak every program just to see if its "likeable"
this could make alot of co's happy
dont think i have xmax amp either. oh well

Can do that easily by putting an expander after the amp sim, which is side-chained triggered by an envelope follower on the original guitar signal.Midiworks wrote:Usually when you play most of the ampsims, the feeling is quite dead and static.
The distortion is distorting but does not react to the way you hit the strings.
(soft/hard)
This plug-in will change that, and breath life into your guitar tracks.
Now I've spoiled that, can you go back to work on that previous to-be-released-very-soon amp sim, MW??

The only thing that I ever played that achieved this is the digital amps made by Vox. Even the fairly cheap (about $150) 15 watt practice amp will respond to playing style.Midiworks wrote:Usually when you play most of the ampsims, the feeling is quite dead and static.

If you use a distortion setting, the distortion cleans up if you turn down the guitar volume.
Also, a Strat sounds like a Strat and a Gibon sounds like a Gibson. unlike most digital sims where it really sounds like your guitar is just triggering a synth.
