So here we go: how comes we can't discuss without pissing each other off? After 140 posts you've got to know that statements like that will lead a topic to the crapper. I can understand if Sonar users feel provoked.StrangeCat wrote:naa that's just my opinion it means nothing except to me if someone said Cubase is crap or a toy more power to them, I already know what i think of it. still I'll keep it down.

...anything that has to do with plugins
...anything that has to do with drivers, especially give them names to know what in/out your using without 10 sites of self written documentation...
That're two of dozens of fundamental flaws, shall I go on?
I remember a little story where someone over at the sonarforum told me to create a buss for every input and output driver/device so I could give them names to identify them
Of course I have sonar 5 so I'm allowed to say it's not that, well, let's say there are better ones.

Whereas directly naming inputs and outputs would be one of those nice to have things, I'd say that the suggestion of creating busses is a perfectly valid and painless solution...UNLESS you are too lazy, do not know what a template is, and you have never seen the Track manager. That, or this is not really an issue and you are just talking out of some improper body cavity.robi79 wrote:

OTOH, I now of other popular, if rather aging, sequencers that could learn something of Sonar's buss routing flexibility, which indeed has a definite impact on the way plugins can be used. I've even heard that some will not allow plugin order changes. Go figure
