I seem to have different standards than other people have for modern heavy sounds. If the distortion complexity isn't there in the mids to begin with, its not there and no amount of EQ can change that. And of course, layering is necessary for authentic results, but speaking in terms of how it sounds in comparison to one of the so-called modern rock amps, I just didn't hear it.
It is a useful device. For $25 its hard to worry about re-baying it. :)

if I could find one...from all the stores I know it's out of stock, some that I have not heard of or not done business with claim to have it...at thirty bux it still might be worth it just to add a new store to my "safe list".chrishurley wrote:I seem to have different standards than other people have for modern heavy sounds. As for tone, I found that running my sansamp into a CH1 super chorus (with almost no effect, just enough to create the simulated stereo) and running the stereo signal into an Aphex Aurel Exciter you can create the scoop you speak of....note the same does not hold true with a BBE, but the Aphex gives you a little more control...but then once you have gone to that exspense it does seem a little moot...
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I put a battery in my BDI21 and it sounds great to me.
It's really quiet!
I'll keep this one and just solder the connections.
