I have been using broomstick bass, which I only use like a conventional soft sampler (i.e., I do not use the patterns).

I has some articulations available (slap, ghost notes, slide down, and several others), but surely not as comprehensive as some other libraries.

I suppose, there might come a time when I want more articulations, but I am happy with it.
