ugh, cubase sucks.... *never* edit audio in cubase. I got it to loop seamlessly *after* I edited the wave outside of cubase. Inside cubase, it's impossible since you get clicks.... ohhh my gosh..... 
i wasted hours trying to figure this one out. it all makes sense now!!!!
