Sidechain controllable Filter - does one exist?

This is interesting, Stefan, but a couple things that could be better:

- I would exclude the amplitude gating entirely and just have the filter modulation
- There needs to be a gain function on the envelope depth. Maybe it's just me, but I would expect with cutoff at zero and track at maximum that the envelope would modulate up to the max. cutoff value if the sidechain input peak volume warrants it.
- Also an optional low pass filter on the sidechain input would be nice, to help make the envelope's contour smooth.

I think having the volume gating optional (as it is now) is good. Sometimes I want to impose a volume envelope, sometimes I don't. As for the rest of the suggestions, they're all good. Want the schematic?

In FL Studio with its peak controller plugin, you can control virtually anything (eg. song tempo ) with output level of any mixer channel. So I don't need dedicated side chained filter.

I did exactly that in my most recent track Had a channel's level control the frequency of a formant filter in BiFilter. Fun stuff.

Doesn't the peak controller method introduce latency?
