I think we'll need to make new presets, though. The ones from the betas won't work as far as I know.

Excellent work. I have been playing around with the Beta since it was posted and am very impressed. Maximum respect to you for what you have achieved and given to the recording-guitarist community.

Thanks all, glad to see FreeAmp2 enjoied by so many
Jason - Nope no changes were made to the tone in FreeAmp2 from the beta to the release (only bug fixes) Sorry if the tone of FreeAmp bothers you so to post more repies then I have on the subject, but hey I'm just a bass player! what do I know about guitar tone
With the response of the majority as high as it has been I feel it is ready to be used? plus this little diddy by garyfwayne (thanks gary that meant a lot to hear FreeAmp in a different style)
http://stashbox.org/uploads/1152824279/ ... 20mp3%20sm all.mp3
Show its not all "Crap" Maybe the next incarnation of FreeAmp will please you more? at any rate one player is the real reason for FreeAmp "me"
To relax - Some folks wood work, some work on cars, the lazy type lays around and watches the tube, Some curl up with a good book, some might just play the guitar? Me since about 1998 have pulled wires on the computer screen
So after years of just collecting what I have patched together! I choose to share it.
I would build the stuff anyhow so no skin off my back if it don't please all, but I get a good feeling inside when I hear that it has helped someone out.
Thanks again all

EDIT:
and that mp3 is nice! It has that lively bass tone to it -- but unfortunately, it only seems that the clean sounds are what i like, but whatever, ill have to see if i can get some decent setzer/isaak tones from it....

Music software's like music itself. How are you going to please
anyone else if you can't please yourself!!
As it happens, in pleasing yourself you've also pleased
the majority. Of that, you should be proud. Thanks again
so very much for sharing your compulsion with us!!
Cheers.....CL

Freeware classic indeed!
Thanks for sharing FrettedSynth!
I have one minor quibble if i may.
The hives green cabinet which is supposed to be a cabinet bypass does not seem to be a true bypass. If you switch cab back types for the hives cab there is still some eq curve being applied.

This baby is clearly made with love. And it makes a lot of noise, so we'll give it a lot of love as well. Great work, congrats on the FE2 release!

Love it! Very inspirational! Got a lot of musical ideas from playing around with it.
Thanks!
In case someone else stumbles on the same problem and it hasn't been mentioned. The synth setup button doesn't seem to work in Sonar 4 if you don't configure Freeamp2 as a tempo-based effect. Very easily done in the VST adapter.
And Fretted...
You have a few presets called Jane (just one in FA2 though), are those by any chance inspired by the old ( 70's ? ) german rock group?
Thanks!
