People were raving? I just noticed the beta today. It seems to fix the crackly audio that 6.0 introduced, at least. Supposedly, it brings FL into the current era of greater than 16 bit audio, but I didn't try recording with it yet.

No idea :? I've just had a (quick) look on FL forums, maybe I missed it, but I couldn't see any reference to it expiring.

You know, I told JM that no one would understand what a beta is.

Instead of reporting bugs, we got users *complaining*. We also got users *complaining* because what they saved in the beta couldn't open in the official release (that's a special 10-points beta-whining + forwards compatibility-whining combo).
You can even still find that funny thread with that guy who was gonna bring his lawyer.

Now you see people are saving their projects, while there's a clear statement that it may not open in the next official release.

and gol is working on multicore support...

edit: ahhh i see now in beta 2 news:

# Some generators can now be threaded for some CPU gain on dual cores:
Fruity Wrapper, FL Keys, Wasp, Wasp XT, ReWired and SimSynth
# Introducing smart disable mode for generators as well.

Why? Surely it stops the noise of people posting bug reports for issues that have already been fixed by the new beta by forcing them to update. And after all, as someone already said, it's a beta version, for testing.

Mind you, the trick as per Cakewalk's VST Adapter is to make sure you upload the new beta before the old one runs out. Nice one Cakewalk!
