Waves C1 Gate, digitalfishphones Floorfish are the obvious candidates - but they're not in the ballpark.

BTW, those knobs and the whole surface look really cool, best plugin GUI design I've seen.

And they are?? :)

Just tried the demo. Now THIS is how a gate should be coded. Extremely smooth and pleasing sound making it an incredible creative tool (one can use it to "extract" parts out of nearly any material). The GUI is very pleasing and easy on the eyes. The only negative thing I found was the lack of an output gain knob. Especially when using the ducking mode one can lose a lot of gain. Other than that, I think this is a must have plugin!

Good Work!

I just demo'd it and am very impressed.Much smoother then my other gates. Sounds great Torben! I'll be buying it today.

This gate is simply incredible! I can not stress it enough what kind of a major creative tool just hit the market! I mean, CHECK THIS OUT:

Original loop

Loop with GAG (in ducking mode) and MjCompressor to enhance the "vibe" that the gate created.

EDIT: Another variation created with GAG+MjCompressor. Try to do that with sonitus gate or floorfish! I dare you!

EDIT2: GAG doing that pumping thang!

EDIT3:Vast possibilities with this thing.. and this..

What can I say?? AMAZING! My VISA is going to hate this (Shhhh, don't tell the wife!).

Cheers!

Ah, but your visa was wounded for a good cause.

I was agonizing about purchasing GUP-1 during the summer special. I passed on it. (I have Marquis, Crunchessor, GPP-1 and GCO-1).

But I think I'll pick this up.

Thanks Torben, great plug in, good functionality & presets and it looks really classy.

Hopefully the ball gag isn't included.

(Why am I thinking of Pulp Fiction. What was that line? "Bring the Gate?")

Thank you all :)

Nice loops bmanic.

Why not? ;) But no it isn't (maybe we should write that before someone asks for it :D)

Torben will the Mac versions be released soon?

I really liked the gate on the GAC-1, so I'm looking forward to checking this out

is there any chance the AU will support native sidechaining in logic pro 7?

Post

"GAG1_SC: This is a stereo version with side-chain support. It has four inputs
and two outputs and should be used when you need an external
audio signal to control the dynamics of a stereo audio signal; i.e. for
noise-over and gated reverb."

from the manual(at point 2, getting started, plug-in variants)

i think you mean voice-over instead of noise-over?

the gate is great. nice gui, nice new logo.

Post

We expect to release the MPL-1 in the beginning of September and the GAG-1 in the beginning of October.
