$D011 - my God, yes. I remember changing that register to disable the screen before freezing with my Expert Cartridge. That way you didn't get all the garbled graphics is it decompressed.bleebsen wrote:Sampling a REAL C64 will probably be quite a PITA, because the C64 has a very bad SNR. The video signal bled into the sound.
It can be improved somewhat by blanking the screen (what most fastloaders did, too. I think it was in VIC Register $d011 ?).

Very cool. Thanks for the share.dalor wrote:I just sampled some percussion sounds from my Hardsid PCI Soundcard c64 (MOS6581) - 74 .wav samples -, all nice clean cut, normalised and stuff

It's very easy.LBN wrote:I've been considering a HardSID for a while now. How difficult is it to integrate into a standard VST sequencer/host? Do you have to do audio out from the HardSID and then audio in on your soundcard?
Thank you!dalor wrote:I just sampled some percussion sounds from my Hardsid PCI Soundcard c64 (MOS6581) - 74 .wav samples -, all nice clean cut, normalised and stuff
