For those who have issues with hi-gain on amp sims, Try juicing up your preamps before the sound card...or even use any decent cheap distortion box. I use an old MXR Distortion+ before the Simulanalog JCM, and it's some real "melt of your face" distortion!

I must add, hoping IK devs read this. AT2 brings down too easy SX3, changing presets or doubling tracks is risky bussiness, also it's the major CPU hog of all times. Off course it's easy to forgive that on such a good sounding processor, IMO with this one hardware is not for me anymore but perhaps something could be done for the prog to be more snappy and reliable... for once i think, as a plug, the Waves GTR approach makes it a tad more versatile IMO.
oh having a good DI or even a some effect box on bypass helps the signal to reach input on a more appropriate way, me thinks.
Bye.

Someone on here commented on the change from AT1 to AT2. They are 2 completely different products. Emulation-wise, AT2 is lightyears ahead of AT1. I'm not an engineer, but my understanding is that the coding is all new from the ground up.
I still prefer AT1 for some things. There are a couple of acoustic patches on it that I haven't been able to get out of AT2 or GR2. Plus, the CPU load is somewhat less.
Note that I use SX3, and the load from both GR2 and AT2 are comparable IMHO. Less of a problem since I updated my PC recently.

I am really loving AT2 now. I thought I would not, but after exploring more and more I must say it is very impressive sonically and interms of design. I have been using it within Brainspawn Forte to casually jam with people. They invariably are knocked out by the sound coming out of my monitors. I usually only have to slight twaek the preset to get what I want.
