I'd argue with that. I think that More Feedback Machine 2 is the coolest au/vst delay around.

I'd vote for Timeless as the Warmest.

And despite the fact that I have mfm1, ohmboyz, ronin, dubstation, etc. I know I'll be picking this up before x-mas.

I will definitively try this timestretch delay. It really seems huge !
I tried their most simple synth a few months ago (One), and i liked it a lot !
But i think that delay is quite expensive : it is twice the price of FabfilterOne, 4 times the price of EnergyXT.... I know i won't be able to afford it

I am also curious to hear how the filter sounds (their "raw ms-like" filter from One was excellent to me), but it is also quite expensive (well, 20 euros more expensive than FabfilterOne, which is a full synth)... Nothing wrong if it is the price of quality, but it is hard to believe for me that a filter is more expensive than a synth using the same filter...

i was actually wishing for an extended version of volcano with more modulation options etc, too bad they went for something simpler.

Timeless eats about 10-15% of my CPU on the Macbook Pro. Can't see using this much at that price.

Hopefully they can optimize this. I love Twin and they managed to get its overhead way down after the initial release.

On my lowly P4 2.4 GHz work PC it hovers at around 7-8% with several modulations happening at once. What kind of CPU speed does the MBPro have?

I've been dying to tell you guys about this thing! It's THE delay of the decade!

Yes, I think it is THAT good. It's simply amazing what you can do with this thing. Now I can post the mini teaser that I made long time ago. Listen to it HERE (.ogg high quality). It's a simple drum loop. First plays 1 bar of original loop then I start flicking trough some of my presets.

Don't ditch Ronin just yet. I think the two sound very much different. Like with all fabfilter products, they are more on the "soft&fluffy" side. Even the 'agressive' tones are kind of smooth so you need Ronin for the other end of the spectrum and it's own sound!

the cpu is rather high for a 'delay' plugin indeed, but there are SO many things you can do with this !
On the buy list for sure ...

only grudge so far, some of the mod destination names are too long to fit in the space they are provided, and with filters 1/2, offset l/r etc, it can be a bit cumbersome to figure everything that is going on modulation wise.

Core Duo 2ghz. By comparison the Live delay uses at most 2% and usually more like 1%. Obviously this is in a different league but cpu usage is closer to what I'd expect for a good reverb.

Well, this does have two filters and two interpolated delay lines, so I can see how it might be a heavier drain on resources.

I guess it just goes to show that devs will take as many cpu cycles as the hardware will allow. I was thinking I'd finally put the constant anxiety of cpu load behind me with this laptop but with effects like this and synths like Massive, quad-core can't come too soon.

Looks like the Core 2 Duo is a bit better optimized for SSE then. Here a heavy duty preset (lots of modulation, both filters on) uses between 4 and 5% cpu. I've got the e6400.

Anyhow, I don't suggest using this for your basic needs, just as your ultimate delay plugin. Also, remeber, the UAD roland tape echo plugin eats up a LOT of the UAD cards power too. It just seems to take a bit of CPU to create high quality saturation and interpolation.

Well, this filter is very good, too ! midi-learned to a XY control pad, it is excellent, ,and the sound is really fine. A lot smoother than a Korg synth, more like a Arp mellow and warm stuff, with a very rich sound.
I'm already quite happy with the filters i have, but this one is really excellent in the sound, so pritine.

the quality is here, for sure.
That delay is one of the best delays i have tried, if not the best one. The sound & features are really incredible. Only 30 minutes playing with it, and i like it so much !

well, maybe I'm lucky because I have Ohmboyz, but I played with this for half an hour and I'm gonna pass...it does sound quite cool but I seem to have cured my VST addiction.
