The benefit of the 32 bit waves is you have the levels very high, so being 32 bit they don't chop the peaks - are the levels due to processing Genetic or where they recorded at 32 bit?

They were recorded at 32bit. My personal reason for recording in 32 bit has to do with Emulator X2 sampler's limited import ability. On my desktop PC EX2 doesn't like to import 24bit wav files (on my laptop it imports 24bit just fine). So I am recording samples in 32 bit because it seems to import those successfully, at least on my desktop PC. I know a bunch of the breaks are clipped. I guess soft clipped, cause the clipping isn't noticeable (is it?) if you're just listening. I had five mics recording simultaneously, so I wasn't as careful with the levels as I should have been. I was just trying to make sure they were all functioning correctly.
Of course my A/D converters are not 32bit. I'm not sure how you actually calculate the bit-depth of an A/D converter, but I remember reading that it is very hard to even make a true 24bit A/D converter.

well, i actually had quite the destructive habit of breaking all the glass i could find when i was a teenager.... seriously... if there was an aquarium sitting in the trash, it went in the street.... bottles - through the air.... any glass not in a window frame was my victim.... I LOVE THE SOUND OF BREAKING GLASS MORE THAN ANY OTHER HUMAN ON EARTH!!!

These sound great. Thanks! I love the stereo ambience. Where did you have the 5 mics setup? Are the samples from all 5 mics or did you pick the best 2 per sample?
Do you plan on any other recording projects?

Well now I really understand why you like these samples so much dover.
I had two stereo mic sets across from each other, and a mono mic off to the side. I think I have a pic, I'll post it if I can find it. The first couple samples with the decimal .1, .2, .3 are the same break but from the different mic sets. For the rest of the samples I just chose a sample from one of the two stereo recordings set-ups.
I've got lots of recording projects planned from December to March.
Thanks for checking them Mooktek and lung.

Your samples are always top notch! I wish I had more time to use them... But for a start they provide pure listening pleasure

Cool. Just playing them in winamp with shuffle on gets darn interesting results... Some major soundscaping possibilities...
thanks!
