I couldn't help noticing how clueless you seemed! It's funny that you caught yourself before anybody else tried to give you too much of a hard time about it.LOOPxDIGGA wrote:LOLOLOL@my response to this post....

Smokers Delight Deux (no not Ducks thats "2") is out now. It's pretty big so I think they decided they could do 199 as the price point. But if you like the first one I think this sounds pretty much the same, at least the demo sounded like it. It's on Big Fishes site

actually Zircon you need to hit up DnB Wiki and download drum packs, breaks etc. or hit up dogsonacid and get some of the same samples, eq two different kick sounds on top of each other and layer that into the groove use side chaining compression and you'll get the sound you want
use automation to make the bass come through after the kick.

Yeah, I've got Vinylistics - it's pretty good, but maybe a little TOO vintage. A lot of the samples aren't that great (tons of noise), not to mention many of them are included in Obsession/Foundation AND Smoker's Delight.
Definitely not in the market for DNB samples. I have yet to hear any collection of DNB sounds that is any good for the kind of stuff I'm going for.

Yeah, I guess I'll check it out... though I can't remember many times where I've gleaned helpful production advice from anyone on a forum. I learned more in a single .FLP file from a fellow breakbeat/big beat artist than I have on any forum.

Just thought I'd post a sound example of what I'm shooting for. Medley of Crystal Method, Prodigy, Chem. Bros (etc) songs.
