I'd be very interested in the sf2. Easy import into .exs format for us logic users!

<edit>I just found erans' supplied conversions for exs, fxp, & sfz. Need to see how the reason->sf2->exs compares to the reason->exs route.</edit>

Thanks to you and erans for making these samples available and usable!

Does that mean that erans himself offers to convert to sfz ?
I didn't know that, if it is the case it doesn't make any sense that I do the conversions and spoil storage space to host something that allready exists

hey kara-

I found the translations here: http://www.northernsounds.com/forum/sho ... hp?t=49697. I haven't had a chance to try them out, and don't have Reason to test the integrity of the conversions. erans very specifically indicates that the translations are NOT 100% and were not possible for some instruments/articulations.

The banjo is included, so if someone can compare the original reason patch, the sf2 patch, and the supplied exs/fxp/sfz conversions, it MIGHT indicate which route is the best bet. I'd volunteer, but I'm not sure if music is in the cards for this weekend.

cheers,
dorian

PS. I haven't downloaded all of the rapidshare files, but it looks like some of these are different/extra samples? Anyone confirm?

o i see interesting,
well that closes this treath, i don't want to spend time copying a free available project, you just have to get it where it lives then

and thanks for the information, dven

I have succeeded to convert two patches of the Electric Guitar Nilsson in .nki format: Fmaj and Fmin strums with ChickenSys free.

I didn't tried with other patches though.

Hm, are these samples still alive?
Couldn't find them on the kara site and the original links in the other thread are also dead (apart from the rapidshare ones that need ages to be available).
I'd happily help in optimizing the EXS versions.

i have them all on an external HD but i must compress them as the entire collection is more than 1 gigabytes
but i would be really interested in an exs24 version of them :D

Well, I'll give my best. I will try to load things into Kontakt and then do the EXS mappings according to it. Not sure how well that'll work, but I'll give it a go.
