And, yeah, looks like the ASR-10 would be a better (i.e. more full-featured) choice. It can play EPS files, has double the memory (both standard and maximum), and double the sequencer tracks . . .

I'm a proud owner of two EPS 16 Plus rack units, and I still use them, mostly onstage though. They're very solidly built and they're very easy too use.
If I had a keyboard version, I'd definitely use that as a master keyboard in my studio. The feel of the Ensoniq keyboards really is outstanding.
Back in the mid 80's I bought the Mirage keyboard, but after a couple of years I sold it for next to nothing.. Silly me. It has a special warm sound, but the memory is very limited.
I would recommend the ASR-10. My friend has one of those and it's great! Enough memory for most tasks, it's easy to use, and like on the EPS 16 Plus, the onboard effects are nothing short of amazing. Very high quality reverbs. You should be able to get the ASR for a good price on eBay.
