Just as an aside, I was apparently one minor version behind on my Reaktor updates, so I had to download the latest one before I could open this ensemble. But first the Service Center had to download an update for itself and restart... and then download another Service Center update, and restart. Then I could download the minor version Reaktor update, which was 97MB, and basically consisted of totally reinstalling Reaktor, along with the whole library, etc. After it finished installing, it attempted to reinstall the Service Center application AGAIN, until I cancelled the installation. Anyway, I just don't understand why NI can't be a little more intelligent about how they handle bug fix updates...

It IS no VST. It's an ensemble for a VST (called Reaktor, which is an environment for making your own synths).

@alienmachine
He does apparently NOT know, that he needs to be a customer of the Reaktor. So I'd say it's not about a request in terms of warez-using here.

Hey hey, that's just lovely, I love that sound and you definitely nailed it or maybe made it even sweeter to sound. I am very impressed. Since I would like to fiddle around a bit with your string machine I downloaded the Reaktor 5 Demo but I can't download your library as I'd have to be a NI customer yet to do so (weird logic). Would you be so kind to send it by mail? I don't ask for an upload somewhere for obvious reasons. If it's a Yes I'll let you know my email address by pm.

Cool! Just downloaded, no chance to demo it yet, but I've got a real fetish for old string synths.

I'll take exception to the Solina being the King of strings...it may have been the best seller but the Eminent 310 on which the Sonlina was based had a much creamier sound. It was part of an organ by the Dutch manufacturer and is the string synth used in Jarre's Oxygene and Equinox.

I've got a collection of string synth sample sets from back when hollowsun distributed free stuff. My favorites, in order, are:
Eminent 310
Crumar Performer (I own a now defunct Performer

What I especially love about this machine was its built-in EQ; I've never found an adequate emulation of it, even the sample sets, because I can't emulate the EQ properly)
Electronica EM 25 (a Russian synth with a lovely sound)
Multivox 202 (a total rip off of the Roland RS-202, but the hollowsun samples of the Multivox were better than their RS-202--I own a RS-202 though it's not in totally great shape, kind of warbles sometimes)
And THEN the Solina.

So . . . go back and do a Crumar Performer ensemble

Hi guys, thanks for your replies.

Actually, I have to agree that the Eminent 310U sounds a little different that the Solina, but the chorus unit is almost identical. Therefore, it depends on the waveshape that you are feeding to it. I'm just learning how to read schematics so maybe someday I'll improve this.

Also, I would love to make Crumar Performer emulation (I love this machine) but I don't have schematics or an user's manual to do it. If you know any resource about this machine let me know

Also, I will post this ensemble somewhere else soon (I hope)
