Now I remember why I stopped using Buzz. Thanks!!! ;)
Jeskola Buzz is the best and most complete freeware imo,
the more I use it (3 years), the more I discover his hidden richnesses and the means of circumventing certain faults,...
BUT for me nothing is free in the life, without effort, one has any satisfaction ! Thanks a zillion to Oskari and all the coders !

Cheers.

I swear I tried to use Buzz some times, but I was unable to make any sound come from the prog. All those machines gets me confused, but I've found the prog very very unstable (even Cubase and Acid worked very well on my computer, so I'm sure it's not my system fault.

Also, the author politics about the program is a bit weird, to me. He won't allow any kind of buzz wrapper, so his compromise isn't with the musical freedom, at all but with his prog spreading. And since there's no more updates, I don't imagine myself using it anymore (remember it was designed for win 95...)

All respect to Buzz users, but it doesn't fits me. So, I use Psycle, because it's really (bug, coast) free!

nearly all crashes are cos of bad machines,if you use something like the hamster allience index, you're safe.

edit:
here's the thread where he talks about it: http://www2.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic ... b3de2a93a2
I've had this plug for ages and wanted to do something a little more stable and a lot more legal.

The wrapper on the OP here crashed all the time for me and the limitation of only one plugin was just not satisfying?

edit: incedently, the developer of Buze, Halfo, said he had plans to do what I was planning already so time to start putting pressure on him again.

I agree to both the quotes and the comment! Buzz user since 97 (almost 10 years!) without a major update. that says a lot for how visionary it is.

I'm now a mod at the XT forum, but still think XT has a few tricks to learn from Buzz. (For instance having levels on each audio line in the modular view, and also having an inventory of patterns per track).

For me, I really think that this year, or next year will be the year that XT finally offers a program that Buzz users will feel at home with.

Looks like libzzub, an open source platform independent C/C++ music tracking and sequencing library compatible to Jeskola Buzz, is open source now. So theortically ANYONE could write a free, leagal Buzz wrapper vst ;) hint hint

http://trac.zeitherrschaft.org/zzub/

Also some kind souls have rewritten Buzz using no orignal code (uses libzzub) and is completely leagal and open source. Anyone who wants to take this and wrap it up as a vst could theoretically do that. One could even write a new host based off of the parts of buzz that they like:

THE developer of Buzé is calvin, not Halfo.
Halfo has joined as coder a couple months ago or so.
