I believe your singer also has very good ears, you can hear that he has good intonation, pitch confidence and he rarely "fishes" for the notes if you know what I mean. It would be fun to hear the final song.
The singer...Some love his voice, some hates it, seems there's no middle ground. I love his voice and find it inspiring, he certainly put a lot of emotion behind it; but he's very fragile, needs constant reassuring and encouragement, guess it's the price to pay to have a singer full of emotions. I'll certainly let you hear the final song, but it will take a few months before completion as we're writing it now and we have limited free time...
I believe (as I have written here a couple of times) that ear training is the most important thing if you want to develop as a musician and I think anyone can achieve a very high awareness of relative pitch (and also of rhythm, you don't want to forget that). Here's a link to very good free program for ear training (you want the basic version, the advanced is not more advanced really and I don't think it adds anything useful):

I someone wants me to give a few pointers to get you started just say so.

I'm glad you found to way to notate your music!
I'll certainly check into this ear training program, but it's hard to find time sometime, what with job, family, house, tenants, bass practice... thanks Bossejo.
No, that wasn't me.

It does not take that much time actually, just some patience. I think you never ever should do more 45 minutes/day of ear training. 15 minutes each day with Functional ear trainer will take you far. Then there are of course other exercises which you can do with your bass or with another instrument so you don't have to take time from that either.
